taiwan 06 part 1

it's been raining heavily the whole day. Just the right kind of weather to stay at home in. Woke up damn late at 12 plus coz somehow i couldnt sleep last nite. Plus i think im starting to get sick.

Suppose to do homework today. But my mind's not working. Haha..excuses excuses.

k...TAIWAN TRIP!

9dec (Sat)
left home ard 10am. Reached the airport, checked in and went in. Finally got a new pair of Nike sports shoes. The last pair was really dying. Dad had to glue back the sole countless times. Anyway this year jie and i switched roles...as in last year i bought a book and she bought shoes (from the same shop), this year she bought book i bought shoes =) Okae...useless information. Anyway boarded the plane, took off, watched little miss sunshine onboard and after 4 hours we reached taipei.

Since we were two hours earlier than the rest on china airlines, the guide took us to this shopping centre first. Walk walk awhile then went back to the airport. On the way got my first look at bing1 lang2 xi1 shi1. I always heard of them but never knew who they were. Anyway, my earlier worries were uncalled for coz the tour group was 34 ppl big!! Later, left for ximenting, had a zong mian xian and walked around. Love the place coz it's packed with all the shops for youths, like shoes, bags, clothes etc. Didnt buy much except for some hair accessories. Went to some hotel in some secluded area, and that ends day one =)

10 dec (Sun)

woke up real early for breakfast which was surprisingly good. Later left for Yeliu (if im not wrong) and got my first taste of how geographically wonderful taiwan is. Next went up to Chuifen. Had to stop somewhere to take a public bus up. Anyway it's this hill top um...settlement cum tourist attraction. Basically there's a narrow street with loads of shops, alot dedicated to tourists. But also, there's loads of food and also muah chee food stalls. Bought lotsa muah chee thing and had fishball for lunch. Like so many other places in taiwan there's also a 711 there. Later went and took a 2 hour train ride to hualian. That nite watched the a-mei zu2 performance and went to the hotel.
