orientation dry run

last 2 days were orientation dry run which were really fun!! Tried out the station games and ice breakers and learnt the batch song yesterday. Also, my ultra resourceful decor subcom went to kachao the air con people to take their cardboard boxes after dry run.

Today dry run day 2. Tried war games. Haha...MR won one game...coz poor hui "his" majesty "died" at the very last seconds due to very pro MR spies. .."look around". Also learnt the batch dance.

After dry run, went for lunch with the sub-sub com and got back to school to do the silhouettes. Did much more than we expected even though we encountered quite alot of problems. Projected the pic on this wall under the GO, trace, cut and paint. So now we're almost done with it. Haha...see the banner people got so much to do. Shall go help one day...never paint banner before must go try. Also, we are way under our budget now. GOOD JOB FLOOR/WALL!!

Left school around 645 with hui and went PS. Suppose to watch movie but no time. So had dinner at mos and talked alot bout stuff that only tian1 zhi1 di4 zhi1 ta1 zhi1 wo3 zhi1. Haha..highly entertaining...esp the goong one ah =)

Dry run's been really really fun. Especially trying out the games and meeting people. Anw tmr's last day of dry run one...must enjoy myself. Definitely better than sianing at home. But this week is good...3 days got dry run, thur outing, fri meeting =) Busy but fun!!

Oh yah...there's still homework to do.. but of course i havent started la. I've already lost count of how many weeks of hols have past. Anw i've suddenly got a list of books to read. Better write down before i forget:

2) Tuesdays with Morrie
3) Some empress dowager one which i cant remember the title
4) Neil humphrey's final notes book

SIAN!!

yesterday went to school to learn the sun and rain dance for orientation. Reached school at 750am and went to run. But it was really hot so i ran much less than on friday but faster. Went for dance practice at 945 and got split up into groups. Sun dance's much more fun. Anw we learnt it really quickly. Later went to the amphi,did the dances a few times and we were done. Also did the befriender's dance a few times coz the music was just after.

Dance was cancelled coz lao shi cant make it this week anymore coz of some emergency. So went for lunch and then went home and seriously rot the time away.

Gotta go to school for dance again later...

Yesterday, hui, rachel, sab, aik xin and i celebrated chiam's birthday at ecp. To think she almost didnt make it for her surprise celebration coz of guitar. So hui and rach decided to tell her. Anw the group of us reached east coast macs earlier with the cake and had lunch. Suddenly chiam called and said she's outside macs, so we were panicking and rushed aik xin(the surprise) away with the cake. Then aik xin came out and surprise chiam. Chiam...happy anot?? Anw the cake wasnt in the best state coz of the way it was swung ard along the way and being subjected to the heat. And one candle is broken as well. From what ax and rach say, the top layer of the cake isnt very safe to eat actually. We couldnt finish the cake. So we played zong ji mi ma. Haha..i never zong4 at all but poor sab kenna 3 times.

After that it was too hot and we were too full to cycle. So went upstairs to pool. Sab was very high throughout pool, think eat too much cake already. After playing the spot the difference computer game thing, went down to cycle. But...it looked like it was going to rain, so went to the arcade. Played puzzle bobble with sab and lost quite badly =( The rest also played this fighting game..dunno how to play also anyhow whack.

After arcade, went down, see not raining already so rented dbl bike with rach. But after cycling for 45 minutes or so it started raining again. Left the bikes at the shop and went off to the beach to play since we were already wet.

after that see quite late already. So hui and I went to the bedok hawker centre for dinner while the rest had to zao. Shared 8 zhui kway and carrot cake. Eat until i damn full. After that, took the train home, watched tv then sleep la. DANIELLE WON AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL!

Yesterday was one of the best days i had recently. No rush or schedules. Just doing whatever we like, running around in the rain. Especially at the beach where it's so spacious, kinda gives u this carefree feeling. Anw yesterday was great, esp hanging out and catching up with all of yall! Too bad kelly and angela couldnt go. But luv ya all still the same=)

impromptu shopping

went impromptu shopping with hui today coz we were both ultra bored at home. Actually it cant be considered shopping for me coz i didnt buy anything. Sadly i got not enough money =( Most fun was trying all the shoes at far east. Saw quite alot that i liked...but must ren3.

vivocity

finally went to vivocity today with hui. Met for lunch and the rice dish cost 4.10!! Elsewhere it would have cost ard 2 plus or 3 dollars at most. So i ate alot for lunch just to make my money worth. After that walked ard. There was one section with forever 21, topshop, mango, zara, espirit and fox altogether. Spent quite awhile there ya. Anw bought a top and a pair of shorts from forever 21.

Vivo's quite nice overall. It's big and spacious but still not as big as some of those in malaysia. Anw the environment is nice and there's also this shallow water pool thing on the roof.

I dunno what else to write. Better get going soon, coz there's physics skill a make up class tmr morning!!

gym chalet

just came back from rg gym chalet today. It was meant as a farewell chalet for the sec 4s, but it was really nice of the juniors to invite us back.

Monday
Reached school ultra early at 730am and then went to the track to jog. Jogging 13 rounds straight feels good. Later had dance but i left early coz of oteam meeting. Anw they didnt do much except the fan dance which im not doing coz of TAIWAN! After meeting ended, headed down to newyork newyork at city link to meet the dancers for lunch. It was suppose to be a combined outing with modern dance to sentosa, but turnout on modern dance was quite bad and so it was cancelled. Anyway, i wouldnt have been able to make it. Being healthy people, we all ate sandwiches which were very good. Had the mo mushroom one...diet friendly..hehe. The ambience and food were good and it wasnt that that expensive. Btw it was pouring when me and hui walked out of school with one umbrella. Why we never take bus i dunno. Anw my entire shoe was soaking wet and i could feel the water sloshing abt in my shoe.

After lunch zhixu crashed my house before the chalet. On the train, we suddenly realised that we didnt get anything for the juniors. So we got Betty Crocker cookie pre-mix and baked for our juniors. But the trays were too small and the cookies all stucked together into one big mass. Had to cut them up into their odd shaped individual pieces. We were quite afraid the juniors wouldnt eat it.
Later walked to the chalet, went out for dinner, and then went back to the room and played cards, mahjong and night fgames etc. The usual chalet stuff. Dunno why i was so tired but i slept quite early at ard 11 or 12 while the rest continued playing cards.

Tuesday/ Wednesday
Woke up damn early at 730am to send aster to the bus stop coz she had to go to school. Then had breakfast at bk with zhixu, damn ex, but very nice. Later on went blading, had lunch, then pool, more cards and bbq. The juniors are pro. At least the chicken wings were cooked. Anw we felt quite bad coz we didnt do anything but sat ard and wait for food to be served. At nite, played modified mahjong cards, like with 3/6 people and with no different stacks for "flowers" etc till like 5am. Then some of us went to the park to try and catch the sunrise. Unfortunately pasir ris faces the wrong direction so we just sat ard the park and rot. Later went back to the chalet and slept for half an hour before going to school for dance.

So that's how the last 3 days were spent. Surprisingly i wasnt that tired on wed. Stayed up to catch project runway before going to sleep. Anw that's all. bb=)

hello:D zhixu and aster reporting from yihui's house:D we are going to watch goong now.. b4 leaving her house... just had a very insuccessful attempt at cookie baking... when we ended up having to cut the cookies apart after baking it cos it all got stuck together... kind of like a cookie-brownie hybrid.
ughs... i got sore throat from eating the too sweet cookie... :S

HI we are very excited now, cos we just ate cookies. we all cannot talk alr the cookies so sweet. i hope the juniors will eat them lah.

we hug the dogs for so long yay! cassie and missie so cute lah. but missie the older one is so much smaller! cassie the younger one is so big! and she always sticks out her tongue to touch her nose!

lol... aster only hugged cassie! leave poor missie feeling so lonely and ostracised:S but i dun dare to carry... but i patted them:D huge accomplishment for me liaos lorh!

dinner was pizza. Hassle free and convenient. But there was too much, think i really overestimated u guys. So today i'll have to eat pizza for lunch =(

so after "million dollar baby" ended, ppl started leaving while some stayed on to play mahjong. I think almost everyone in class knows how to play already. Next time we can have mahjong sessions =)

Class gathering

07S06Q had class gathering at my house today. The turn out was damn good, 21 out fo 25 people appeared. Good job steph, for arranging the outing =)

After reaching my house, everyone bummed around for awhile before going to pasir ris park. Played touch rug at the field which was umm...damn fun. Especially when u have the touch rug captain and 2 touch rug guys as well. Haha..pro people =)

Later on some people needed to go back so we went back first while others stayed on and played soccer and apparently touch rug on the beach. Soon my house became a mahjong place...of course no money was involved.

PW OVER!!

PW'S OVER!!
Omg..i cant believe after chionging for so long and so many practices for op the last few weeks, pw's finally ended. Hoho...no more PI, EOM, I&R, written report and OP!! Reached school at 7am yesterday yesterdayfor OP. Having the moderators wasnt that bad actually. THink it was only 2 other school teachers. Anyway the presentation went quite okay, no major screwups or anything. And i think everyone including the examinors and moderators enjoyed our song quite abit. It's a brainwashing song anyway.Haha...loads of thanks to clara's group for swaying along to our song and making me laugh till i couldnt sing. But at least it proves that we engaged the audience. Haha...thx manz! But Q and A was quite sucky for me coz i couldnt even remember the question he asked so i just crapped something out. Wanted the question boyle got. But ohwellz...think i didnt sleep enough the night before. Kept thinking about the presentation. Whatever...it's over!!!

After that was suppose to go for PW group outing...but we had 3 other girl crashers and boyle didnt go. So it ended up as a half of the class girls' outing. We had lunch at taka, with some people eating alot of balls "insider joke"..what chicken, octopus etc. After that some of us went to watch step up. Saw alot of RG people in town including quite a few juniores coz they collected their results. THe theatre was quite filled with RG people as well, especially at the back making alot of noise. Overall i think the movie's okay though many think it's very good. Maybe coz i watched quite a number of such shows already, like ice princess and basically all the stories are about the same. Also, i think there could have been more dance in the show, but that's just my preference. I still think centrestage's the best dance movie so far.

tomorrow's OP. In slightly over 12 hours we'll be free from pw forever...that is until we get back our results. Anyway, im just glad it's going to be over soon. Actually, im quite scared for the question and answer session, like if i'll blank out. Haha..touch wood =)

I wont miss all the work we had to do throughout the project. But i'll miss the meetings we had as a group, especially the last few as we practised for OP. Today was good and fun as a matter of fact, with the silly debates over which pictures or animations to use for the powerpoints and acting silly, singing stupid songs from cartoons like powerpuff girls and pinky and the brain and ummm sclub7=) Wait...stupid refers to those from the cartoons..not sclub7 ya...they're good and i use to love them . Anyway im glad we didnt have any serious arguments throughout the process though we arent exactly the bestest of friends in class. And also, i think we've gotten to know each other much better throughout the process and also made "better" friends with each other.

Overall, im thankful for my group. Ameenah, Boyle, Bee Juan and Huixing. Thanx yall for a great past 5 months. We'll always be RJ219'06. ROCK ON!!!

I & R

im finally done with the I&R. Is 515 word acceptable, coz i have no idea what to cut. Weird thing is that there wasnt much for me to cut anyway. Normally i'll write alot for this type of stuff like EOM and then end up with 300 plus words to cut if im lucky. But this time i barely made it to 500. Somehow it makes me quite paranoid coz i dunno if i did it right. Anyway it's only 2 more days and i won't be whining about pw here anymore=)

got back the last gp essay we did today and im pretty happy with my mark especially the content one. Highest overall mark i ever got for any essay. Problem is that this essay isnt counted at all -_-. The topic was "The advancement in science and technology today have both empowered and weakened men. Discuss." which is one of my all time favourite questions. For one thing all i needed was to read this essay in the stack of gp notes we had and the content for 2 essays we did this year is settled. Haha...but this topic didnt come out in the promos...shld have expected it though.

Anyway the remarks that i got:

im envious of all the people who've already finished their OP. Really wished mine was today so i can get it over and done with...but unfortunately i must ren3 for another 3 days.

Suppose to be doing my I & R now. But i havent really started typing anything yet except my name and the headings. Told myself i'll do it today (yesterday) or at least part of it. So here im forcing myself to stay awake, hopefully can get some ling2 gan3.

Today was rather tiring. Had dance pt in the morning and then dance. But it was very slack overall. Later went for lunch and then went back to school for pw. Surprisingly pw today wasnt too bad. At least i felt quite satisfied after that, now that the song "performance" is much improved and more wen3. Haha..im typing in han4 yu3 pin1 yin1 all of a sudden. So presentation's okay so far. All that's left is the Q & A which im really quite scared of. Especially with the moderator people in the room.

Shall get back to I & R. Die die i must have something written today. Bye=)

just came back from a jog in the park.
Total distance covered today: (3.3x2)-(0.5x2)-(0.15x2)=5.3 km =)))
Somewhere around there lah. Feels damn shiok and umm healthy. Plus i've never covered so long before. Maybe to make up for yesterday and not going skating today.

In the afternoon went suntec to walk with my parents. And im really quite pro at window shopping. Saw quite a few stuff that i want but never buy. 2 pairs of shoes, some tops... Anw, christmas and my birthday are coming in a few months. I think i can wait=))

Anyway, yesterday didnt go very well. Felt quite moody and damn sianz the whole day. Especially since i had no music class but still didnt go anywhere. Think i got up on the wrong side of bed, which is quite true coz i slid off the end instead of by the side like i normally do. Anyway decided to go cycling around pasir ris and take some pics. Anyway watched the covenant today. It's not a bad show. Just that i was abit confuse throughout the show...and i still dunno the names of all the characters.

pw dry run

Had a very long day in school today. Reached school at 10 for pw practice before our dry run at 12. It was suppose to end by 2.30. But knowing how things go, my group only presented at about 340 and left school around 430 since we are the last group. 6 hours in school damn hiong lah, juz PW...PW...PW! Anyway the presentation's not that good still. And im quite worried coz suay suay my group got the MOE people. WHY!! Ours is on the 4th day, shouldnt there be no more MOE people watching already? Anyway after that came home straight away and was too tired to go jogging or cycling. Didnt have a good nite sleep last nite too. Couldnt sleep till like 2 plus even though i went offline at like 12. And this morning keep waking up just in case i oversleep.

Sianz lah, nothing to do so far. Finished goong alread. But just went i thought i had to stay home the whole day again tmr, i get a date with hui and kelly tmr!! Haha. Yay!

Backtrack to last sat...it was the chinese music awards thing with the gals. But alot of artistes didnt go, so i didnt really know or support anyone there. But it was fun nonetheless. SHall let the pics do the talking...

dance audition

morning went to school to collect report slip. Nothing interesting since we already know all our grades, no percentile or anything. After that went to the canteen and mug for chem spa. Remember that oxidation reactions shld only be used as confirmation test since many organic compounds are oxidisable. Anw it was easier than expected. Later couldnt go for class lunch coz of dance. Also, attended Kelly's surprise birthday party. Too bad i couldnt stay for long. Anw..

Dance audition for SYF today. It was quite screwed up for me actually , couldnt remember most of the sets. After that laoshi gave each of us personal comments. What she said's similar to what tan laoshi (gym coach) said last time. I shall work hard =) Missing practices is not good coz it shows. Anw good that it's over.

There's pw dry run tomorrow and i havent memorised my script. One more week and i'll be free!! Shall go memorise my script now.Cya=)
